My Journey
Asha’s Immortals Started as a Hobby whose passion ignited the flame of my desire to create my own business. That passion was ignited in high school where I made my first informal sales for friend’s parties and events. I soon discovered the need for Consistency within my origami creations. I noticed that most origami had little to no Consistency between pieces. That was the first hurdle I conquered by scoring my designs onto the paper before folding.
In college I discovered the need for More Variation within my origami designs leading to increased Creativity within the product. My main event for that year was Valentines day on my school’s campus. Many people demanded a large variety of colors. This lead me on a material journey for the best card-stock that came in the most variation and the best quality. My origami’s Utility was solidified from there as they were no longer just beautiful pieces of art- but boxes.
It was shortly after that I provided the favors for a Fashion show where I trained my skills and adapted to increase the Elegance of my designs. I learned the secret of simplicity and user friendliness. These two concepts set the stage for me to refine my product and make essential additions such as a “pull here” indicator on the bottom of my roses.
